"Natasha, Valentine Queen"
Wow! I loved this kit! 8 solid resin pieces which includes the sitting stool and in roughly 1/6th scale. What a great sculpt done by Roberto VonBehrand the kit brought to you by “CB’s House of Resin”. The original intent of this kit was based on an imagine similar to “Black Widow”, but when I first caught site of the kit, I wanted to dispense with the “Black Widow” theme and create a theme of my own. With Valentine’s Day nearly here, I thought a good time to render this kit with such a theme. Biggest changes to my version were removal of the glove and forearm details rendering her instead as bare arms and hands. I also opted not to use the Iron Man head which would normally be on her lap held by her left hand. I also opted to soften things up a bit and not use the typical black for her attire, but change everything into more feminine shades of pink. Once modifications were made to the pieces, the paint and assembly went well. Pieces fit very well, simple to build, good details, overall a nice figure. She was painted with dark skin tones, green eyes, brownish-red hair, browns and grays used for eye shadows and very light pink lips with matching fingernails. Pink boots, pink pearl attire with black trim and a few areas of sheer white cover her body. Great details beyond the typical kit were added such as in the lacing of her attire, pin-heads for snaps, and bracelets made of miniature pink glass beads. I originally intended to use a scale scruffy teddy bear for her lap, this however, is not as easy as I anticipated. Difficult to find one fitting within model proportions and of the right color, so for the time being, I made up a temporary one using “Sculpey” clay and painted it in pink hues. A tiny “box of chocolates”, ribbon and eyes were added to the dirty little bear. Although the kit came with the stool, I opted to add an entire base for the display. For this, I used the “Hobby Lobby” wood base, painted it to match her attire and added a small section of tile flooring. Details in this rendering are exceptional, from skin tones, to hands, to clothing. “Natasha” is now completely rendered as “Natasha, Valentine Queen”. This was a great kit with limitless possibilities for modifications. I highly recommend this kit!
