CB's House of Resin "Mary Jane"
This is a model originally sculpted by Jim Maddox and produced by CB's House of Resin. It began as an eight piece model which is close to 1/6th scale. The model is loosely based on the character of “Spidermans Girl”, Mary Jane, which depicts her getting caught trying on the Spiderman costume, or possibly, getting caught taking off the costume? The cast in general was pretty good and pieces all seem to fit pretty well. I would have liked to see the final casting a bit smoother in the bare skin areas, particularly the models face, but nothing a bit of sanding couldn't fix. The web detail of the costume is rather faint in some areas, but a good model none the less. This one, I actually chose to modify a little bit. The original sculpt had Mary Jane wearing a lace bra, but I opted to sand it down and do a little "sculpt" on my own. With the bra now missing, the lack there-of renders Mary Jane as topless. I used the “standard” Mary Jane colors along with the standard colors of the “Spiderman” costume using a faint pearl to enhance the spandex suit. I also added a little more “Ooooh” to the piece by rendering Mary Jane’s bottoms as a white sheer mesh, and quite see-through. The base was done in primary black with a matching blue pearl center. As pictured, the piece measures just over 11” tall and about 4” across at the base. A great idea brought to kit form and a fun piece to be “creative” with.
