                                  Vision Models "Bat Girl"

                                  Picture
Another classic!  This fabulous kit is again another creation from the work of John Wright and “Vision Models”.  This kit is in roughly a 1/6th scale and if I remember correctly, was in about 7 pieces of solid white resin.  As usual, it is difficult to criticize any of the “Vision” kits.  This one did however, seem to require quite a bit more in the line of filling pinholes, particularly in her cape and the figures back, but other than that – was pretty easy to prepare for assembly and paint.  As usual, a perfect balance to the paint and assembly process is utilized in its entirety.  Other than the pin hole issue I had, the casting is nearly flawless with a tremendous amount of detail maintained throughout the figure.  I found clean, crisp casting details, particularly in the facial details.  For this model, I went out of my “norm” a little bit by creating softer facial colors.  I attempted to bring out a sexy but classy feel to our female superhero all the while, leaving the feel of “innocence”.   For the most part, I did this one just as depicted by the box art in a light purple with gold trim and adding just a small touch of metal flake into the final coat.  Her suit finished in a semi-gloss creating the “leather like” appearance while the cape I finished in a rough flat finish to represent a more flexible and “canvas” surface.  When assembled, the piece stands over 13”.  The included base was done in the traditional sand stone texture and clear coated for durability with a poly resin.  A terrific model kit in both quality and final appearances!  Highly recommended!
