SolarWinds "1/4 Karnstein"

This giant scale Karnstein from sculptor Mike Cusanelli and “SolarWind”, is an excellent kit with tremendous details and excellent casting properties.  Standing over 14” tall when complete, it is a modelers dream.  I have no complaints in regards to this kit, or any other “SolarWind" kit.  The casting is near flawless with every bit of detail I have grown to expect from this group.  This has been rendered from a 7 piece solid resin kit consisting of the two arms, two legs, head, body and base.  Pieces are easily painted due to the well thought out assembly process and fit perfectly.  This kit is a “must have” for any Karnstein collector.  Painting as shown here, in traditional colors is quite simple due to the large format.  The great detail in casting allows for easy detail painting above and beyond most kits and limitless possibilities in accurate rendering and potential modifications.  Jewels were done by application of transparent candy colors over a metallic base, then a drop of 5 min. epoxy on top giving it a high luster.  Even the included base holds exceptional details such as her name and rug pattern on the floor.  This was an easy build with a flawless fit.  Highly recommended kit for both beginner and experienced modelers alike!  Fabulous, trouble free kit!
